Establishments in the UAE cannot force people to wear face masks.

That’s according to Dr Farida Al Hosani, official spokeswoman for the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP), who clarified that only those suffering from flu-like symptoms and chronic diseases are required to wear medical masks when they go out in public.

She also urged people not to share face masks with each other as it could increase the spread of the virus and other germs.

This comes after 41 new cases were confirmed, bringing the total number of cases to 611 in the country.

Two more deaths have been reported and three recoveries.
