Dubai Municipality has signed a major agreement with Parkin Company, the city’s largest provider of paid public parking, aimed at enhancing the efficiency and quality of Dubai’s parking infrastructure.

The Memorandum of Understanding sets the stage for greater collaboration between the two entities.

It covers everything from improving planning and permit procedures to data sharing, and even allows Parkin to manage select free public parking areas owned by the Municipality.

The partnership will focus on sharing data for service optimisation and exploring investment opportunities in multi-storey parking and delivering value-added parking services at major events.

It also covers the development of unified criteria for utilising private plots as public parking areas and identifying innovative mobility solutions, including smart access and payment systems.

Bader Anwahi, CEO of the Public Facilities Agency at Dubai Municipality, said the partnership supports Dubai’s vision for a smart, sustainable future by boosting public service quality and enhancing urban mobility.

Parkin CEO Mohamed Abdulla Al Ali added that the deal reflects their shared commitment to developing innovative parking solutions and integrated infrastructure in line with the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan.
