Over 3,100 traffic offences logged as Dubai targets reckless celebrations

Dubai Police

Dubai Police have impounded 49 vehicles and 25 motorbikes and issued 3,153 traffic violations during the recent Eid Al Etihad celebrations.

Brigadier Juma Salem bin Suwaidan, Director of the General Department of Traffic, said some motorists exploited the occasion to perform illegal stunts and races, endangering lives and disturbing residents.

He stressed these actions contradict Emirati values and warned that police will take firm measures against reckless behaviour.

Families are urged to monitor their children and ensure celebrations remain safe and respectful.
