Motorists have been advised to exercise caution on the road after UAE weather bureau issued a yellow dust alert and warned of visibility dropping to less than 2,000 metres in some parts.

The weather alert will be in place until 4:30 pm on Wednesday, the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) said in its forecast.

The authority urged motorists to lock all windows and doors to prevent dust from entering the vehicles and to avoid exposure to dust and monitor official channels for weather updates.
