More illegally owned animals seized in Sharjah

Five animals including a rare white lion cub and two monkeys were discovered after a private home was raided in Sharjah.

The animals were in the process of being illegally sold online when they were seized.

Sharjah's Environment and Protected Areas Authority arrested a man after receiving an anonymous tip-off.

The confiscated animals also included two tiger cubs.

The suspect has been arrested and is being by questioned by police.

As reported by ARN News, last month authorities in Sharjah thwarted a smuggling plot which involved 17 rare animals.
