Minister of Economy and UN official meet to discuss manufacturing industry

NULL

The UAE Minister of Economy and a United Nations official will convene in Al Ain to discuss how global governments can promote manufacturing sectors across the UAE and the region. His Excellency Engineer Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansoori hopes to increase foreign direct investment, and help develop local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by exposing them to international best practices and capital sources. Manufacturing and the knowledge-based and innovative industrial sector currently account for around 11% of total UAE gross domestic product (GDP).
