A six month project to renovate Maqta Bridge has been announced by Abu Dhabi Municipality.
Work on both sides will include resurfacing the road, upgrading pedestrian walkways and restoring and repainting the distinctive arches.
Maintenance will also be carried out under and around the bridge.
The Municipality said work will continue until October and traffic disruption can be expected.
