More than 300 traffic accidents have been recorded in Dubai over a 24-hour period due to the unstable weather conditions.
Eight of them were of serious nature while the rest were minor incidents, according to the Command and Control Centre of Dubai Police.
They also received nearly 7,500 calls on the hotline 999 and another 1,358 calls on 901.
Authorities are reminding motorists to keep a safe distance between vehicles and to avoid unnecessary overtaking.
They are also advising the public to check the weather updates and to leave enough time for their journeys.
