H.H. Sheikh Mohammed unveils AI-backed system to monitor performance

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and the Ruler of Dubai, has announced the launch of an AI-backed system to measure performance in the federal sector.

In a post on social media platform X, Sheikh Mohammed said the system will use AI algorithms to support in decision-making, track the progress of plans and strategies, and enhance the government’s ability to anticipate future challenges and opportunities.

"Continuous improvement is fundamental to government work. We see pausing development as a step backward," he added.

"Our belief remains: 'There may be no perfect system, but every system can be improved and developed'."

On July 6, Sheikh Mohammed had unveiled the UAE Federal Government Strategic Plan 2031 with a focus on leveraging AI to "streamline processes and improve management of resources".

He described it as a move to switch to "a new chapter in shaping a smarter, faster and more efficient government".
