H.H. Sheikh Hamdan announces merger of departments of economy and tourism

Hilal Al Marri has been appointed as the Director-General of the new department that will help expand foreign trade and attract 25 million tourists to Dubai in 2025.

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, took to his official Twitter handle to make the announcement.

He also said that the changes in the government sector are a reflection of a new vision set by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid to achieve great developmental leaps that consolidate Dubai's position as the number one city in the world.

He thanked the former Director-General of Dubai Department of Economic Development, Sami Al Qamzi and wished the new team all the best.
