Experts discover serious threats in smart devices in homes

NULL

Security experts have found serious threats in smart devices used in the home. Researchers at Kaspersky Lab discovered that an app-controlled coffeemaker could expose the homeowner’s WiFi password. Outsiders are apparently capable of controlling a baby video monitor by hacking the camera owner’s network, and a magnet was found to disrupt a smartphone-controlled home security system. Residents are advised to look up the vulnerabilities of a device before purchasing it.
