In a statement to the ARN News, Etihad confirmed the suspension would be in place until at least midnight on Tuesday.

They added they are "monitoring the situation closely" and any change to future operations will be communicated to affected passengers.

Etihad said the safety of passengers and employees is their “highest priority”.

Wizz Air posted on their website saying updates regarding flights to and from Israel beyond October 10 will be "issued in due course".

Meanwhile, Dubai carriers Emirates and Fly Dubai confirmed have confirmed they are operating to schedule.

A spokesperson for Emirates told ARN News they are "in close contact with the relevant authorities regarding developments" and are "carefully reviewing all factors on an hour-by-hour basis".
