Dubai Police are inviting community members to play a starring role in the city’s world-famous New Year’s Eve celebrations, by volunteering to support police operations.

More than 1,100 people have already signed up, helping ensure a safe, well-organised, and memorable night for residents and visitors alike.

By involving volunteers in planning and safety efforts, the force aims to highlight Dubai’s welcoming image as a leading global destination for major events.

Volunteers can take part through seven different roles, tailored to a range of skills and interests.

These include bicycle patrol teams, cavalry teams working alongside mounted police, and positive spirit teams engaging with the public.

Support is also needed in Hatta, as well as in photography, remote administrative roles, and general volunteering focused on crowd management and guest services.

Dubai Police say the strong response so far underlines the community’s enthusiasm to contribute to the success of one of the city’s biggest nights of the year.

  • Deadline: Applications close on Sunday, December 28
  • Shift Start: Selected volunteers will begin their duties on Wednesday, December 31 at 5:00 pm at various celebration sites
  • Registration: Sign up directly via the Dubai Police Volunteering Portal
