The accident, which resulted in the death of one driver, occurred when a lorry caught fire while in motion and collided head-on with another truck.

Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, Director of the General Department of Traffic at Dubai Police, emphasised that vehicle safety standards must be strictly followed to prevent mechanical failures that could lead to serious accidents.

He also warned against unauthorised modifications, as these often contribute to breakdowns and fires.
