Dubai Parks and Resorts field hospital discharges last COVID-19 patients

The Dubai Parks and Resorts' field hospital has discharged its final COVID-19 patient today.

The 1,200-bed facility, which was managed by Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA), celebrated the milestone after their last patient made a full recovery.

They also honoured frontline heroes who managed the field hospital and worked tirelessly to help those affected by the virus.

The facility, which was built in three weeks, the facility received its first ever coronavirus patient on April 24.

Since then, it has catered to more than 2,300 patients who tested positive for COVID-19, following the treatment protocols outlined by the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) and Dubai Health Authority (DHA).

Mubarak Hamad Al Darmaki, Chief Operation Officer, for the Dubai Parks and Resorts field hospital thanked government entities for their support.

The Dubai Parks & Resorts Field Hospital is the second of SEHA’s three field hospitals to discharge the last patients.

In June, the Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Center field hospital bid farewell to its last patient, after it successfully treated over 1,500 patients.

Over the course of the last few weeks, several SEHA facilities have been declared as COVID-19-free, including Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City, Al Tawam Hospital, and hospitals in the Al Dhafra region.
