The 20th edition of the Arab Media Forum is underway in Kuwait, with the UAE taking centre stage as the Guest of Honour.

Leading the UAE delegation, Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, Chairman of the National Media Office and the UAE Media Council, reaffirmed the nation’s commitment to strengthening Gulf media cooperation and supporting the development of a future-ready media sector across the region.

Speaking to UAE media professionals at the forum, Al Hamed stressed the vital role of the press in promoting national values like tolerance, coexistence and respect, while also shaping the UAE’s global image.

He underlined that media today is not just about reporting news, but about influencing international perceptions and advancing sustainable development.

Al Hamed praised the forum for offering a valuable platform for dialogue, innovation and the exchange of ideas among Arab media professionals.

He also highlighted the UAE’s growing leadership role in the global media space, noting preparations are well underway for the "Bridge" Summit in December.

The event will bring together international media experts to discuss innovation, partnerships and the future of media in an increasingly connected world.
