All school staff members in Dubai private schools will have to undergo COVID-19 PCR tests before they return to schools.

That's according to a circular from Dubai's Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), which added that "staff who have carried out a COVID-19 test in Dubai recently and have a copy of the results will not be required to re-take the test".

The education regulatory body also highlighted that "the COVID-19 PCR testing is not mandatory for students".

The circular was sent to private schools in the emirate as students gear up to return to campus next week.
