The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) has confirmed that non-halal Mars chocolate products are not sold in the emirate.

It has reassured consumers that all food products in circulation, whether locally produced or imported, are subject to strict controls throughout the supply chain.

It said that no product is allowed to enter the country unless it complies with approved specifications and standards.

Periodic inspection and sampling of food items are also carried out to ensure that they are safe for consumption.

The ADAFSA added that its actions are based on technical regulations and standards that are regularly reviewed and updated in line with the latest developments.
