200 Emiratis have been trained in app development in the first quarter of 2024 as part of the ‘Create Apps in Dubai’ initiative from the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy.
The initiative was launched to strengthen the UAE’s digital capabilities, with a target to train 1,000 Emiratis and triple the number of app developers in Dubai by 2025.
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council launched the programme at the end of last year.
Another Q1 milestone saw 1,100 people take part in the 'App Olympics' competition, which was launched as part of the Create Apps in Dubai initiative, in February.
