Woman mauled to death by pet crocodile

An Indonesian woman has been mauled to death by a pet crocodile.

Deasy Tuwo reportedly fell into the crocodile's enclosure while feeding it at the pearl farm in North Sulawesi where she worked.

According to reports, the giant crocodile, named Merry, was being kept illegally.

The 700kg reptile was sedated and removed from its enclosure in a three-hour operation and has been transferred to a conservation area.
