Australia's Ashleigh Barty has been forced to withdraw from the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championship due to injury.

"Unfortunately I am withdrawing from the Dubai Duty Free Championship due to a right foot injury," said Barty. "Best wishes to the players and tournament on a great week and I look forward to playing in Dubai soon."

The 20th-anniversary celebrations of the WTA event will see three reigning Grand Slam champions - Simona Halep, Bianca Andreescu and Sofia Kenin - bid for the Dubai title.
