A man was arrested in the US for allegedly stealing $769,500 (AED 2.8 million) worth of Tiffany & Co jewellery, which he swallowed during the incident.
Jaythan Gilder faces charges of robbery with a mask and first-degree grand theft after falsely claiming to be an agent of an Orlando Magic basketball player in order to get access to the jewels.
In a scan released by the Orlando Police Department a "foreign object", thought to be the earrings, can be seen on the images.
Gilder was caught on CCTV footage in the Tiffany & Co. store in Mall of Millenia in Florida, in the VIP room being shown several expensive jewellery items before snatching the jewels and fleeing the store, despite attempts by staff to stop him leaving.
Authorities were able to track Gilder's vehicle, headed towards Texas, and performed a traffic stop, which is when he swallowed the objects.
Officers are now waiting for the objects to be "passed through" Gilder's system so they can be officially identified.
