UAE streamlines academic degree verification for private sector jobs

@MOHRE_UAE/ X

The UAE has launched a digital initiative aimed at streamlining the verification of academic qualifications for workers in the private sector.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, in partnership with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, has introduced a digital integration project that allows employers to electronically verify degrees.

The move supports the country’s broader digital transformation goals and is designed to speed up work permit procedures, ensure accurate hiring practices and strengthen labour market flexibility.

The service applies to qualified workers with degrees from outside the UAE at skill levels 1 to 4 and can be accessed through the MoHRE’s digital platforms or service centres. It will later be expanded to include UAE-issued qualifications as well.

Officials say the project will reduce paperwork, improve hiring reliability and enhance collaboration between the public and private sectors, ultimately boosting the UAE’s appeal as a global employment and investment hub.
