The UAE’s Higher Committee for Internal Security reviewed national preparedness levels amid ongoing challenges, including weather conditions, in a virtual meeting on Sunday.

The meeting, chaired by the Ministry of Interior’s Undersecretary Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, focused on ensuring business continuity and strengthening coordination across the country’s security system.

The session assessed response readiness and field coordination among relevant authorities to ensure a rapid response to incidents.

Officials were also briefed on measures in place to deal with current conditions, including adverse weather.

The committee emphasised the safety of community members and the protection of lives and property are top priorities. It called on the public to adhere to security and safety standards and guidelines, comply with instructions from competent authorities, and obtain information from official sources.
