UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has declared a three-day mourning period on the passing of his brother Sheikh Saeed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The Presidential Court said the official mourning period will be from Thursday, July 27, until Saturday, July 29, with flags at half-mast.
Sheikh Saeed, who was Abu Dhabi Ruler’s Representative, was suffering from a health problem, national news agency WAM reported.
The Presidential Court issued the following obituary: “In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful... With hearts faithful to God's decree and destiny, President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan mourns his late brother, His Highness Sheikh Saeed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Representative of the Ruler of Abu Dhabi, who passed away today."
Last Saturday, the Presidential Court had announced he was suffering with a health problem.
