UAE President, Indian PM witness exchange of MOUs

The UAE's President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi have witnessed the exchange of several agreements aimed at enhancing collaboration between their countries.

The exchange took place in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, during Sheikh Mohamed’s working visit to India.

The Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) include:

  • MoU for investment cooperation in the development of food complexes
  • MoU for investment cooperation in renewable energy
  • MoU for investment cooperation in innovative healthcare
  • MoU on establishing sustainable, green and efficient ports

Sheikh Mohamed and Modi emphasised their commitment to expanding the scope of bilateral relations, particularly in the areas of economy, energy, technology, climate action, and sustainable development.

They also agreed to leverage all available opportunities to achieve the objectives of their developmental partnerships.

The two leaders discussed a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest and underscored their support for all efforts that promote peace, cooperation, stability, and the resolution of conflicts through dialogue and understanding.

The talks also touched upon developments in the occupied Palestinian territories, with the two sides reaffirming the need to work towards a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, ensure the protection of civilians and provide sustainable humanitarian aid.

Sheikh Mohamed thanked Modi for the warm reception and hospitality and extended his congratulations on India’s upcoming Republic Day on January 26.
