UAE President awards Tanzanian President 'Mother of the Nation Order'

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has awarded the 'Mother of the Nation Order' to Tanzania's President, recognising her efforts to promote sustainable development and social unity.

The honour was presented by H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, during his official visit to Tanzania. The meeting was also attended by senior officials from both countries.

Sheikh Abdullah conveyed President Sheikh Mohamed’s greetings and affirmed the UAE’s commitment to deepening ties with Tanzania. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of Tanzania expressed her appreciation and shared her hopes for stronger bilateral cooperation.

The two sides discussed expanding collaboration in trade, investment, and development.

Several agreements were signed, including:

- A customs cooperation agreement;
- An MoU on mining sector investment;
- An MoU establishing a UAE-Tanzania Business Council.

These agreements reflect a shared vision for economic growth and lasting partnership between the two nations.
