UAE number one in gender balance in Arab world: H.H. Sheikh Mohammed

The UAE has ranked at number one for gender balance in the Arab world.

This was announced by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai in a series of tweets.

His Highness said the UAE aims to be amongst the top 25 countries in gender balance by 2021.

Globally, the country ranks at number 18 on the United Nations Development Programme’s Gender Inequality Index.

“We set a goal for the @UAEGBC to make the UAE one the world’s top 25 countries in the field of gender balance by 2021. Even before the end of 2020, the UAE has been ranked No. 1 in the Arab world and 18th on the @UNDP Gender Inequality Index,” he tweeted.
