UAE leaders, Jordan’s King discuss regional developments

UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan today received King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein of Jordan.

The meeting was attended by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court.

The leaders discussed regional developments amid escalating military tensions and the serious implications for security and stability.

They also addressed Iranian attacks targeting countries in the region, describing them as violations of sovereignty and international law that threaten regional and international security.

King Abdullah reaffirmed Jordan’s solidarity with the UAE and its measures to protect its sovereignty and the safety of its people.

Sheikh Mohamed also affirmed the UAE’s solidarity with Jordan in confronting attacks targeting its sovereignty and security.

Both sides stressed the importance of an immediate halt to escalating military actions and called for dialogue and diplomacy to resolve regional issues and prevent further tensions.

They also reviewed the strong ties between the UAE and Jordan and reaffirmed their commitment to continued coordination in support of shared interests and development priorities.
