UAE leaders hail nation's spirit on 'Day of Solidarity'

UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has hailed the country's "enduring resilience and the courage and determination of its people" as he marked the 'Day of Solidarity' on social media.

"Characterised by unity and resolve, this spirit empowers our nation to overcome challenges, embrace opportunities, and continue working towards a more stable and prosperous future for all," Sheikh Mohamed wrote.

The fourth anniversary of the 'Day of Solidarity' honours the spirit of Emirati gallantry and the unbreakable bond between the leadership and its people, national news agency Wam said.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, also marked the occasion with a social media post.

He said that on the day, the  "pledge and promise to protect our homeland is renewed .. and the cohesion, unity, and solidarity of our people is renewed .. and our certainty in the strength, power, and steadfastness of our developmental path is renewed".

It also marks the renewal of "our determination to achieve the aspirations of our people, the prosperity of our country, the stability of our region, and the world".
