UAE citizens can now travel to Israel without a visa for a maximum of 90 days per visit.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the exemption is in line with the mutual visa waiver MoU signed between the countries.
Omar Saif Ghobash, Assistant Minister for Culture and Public Diplomacy, signed on behalf of the UAE, while Shlomo Mor-Yosef, Director-General of the Population and Immigration Authority of the Ministry of Interior, signed on Israel's behalf.
Ghobash said the agreement will have a positive effect on tourism, trade, investment, and other sectors, as well as strengthen cooperation between both countries.
