UAE announces 293 new cases of COVID-19, 2 deaths

The UAE has announced 293 new cases of COVID-19, taking the overall tally in the country to 56,422.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHaP) said more than 48,000 coronavirus tests were carried out nationwide in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 2 more people have died from the virus, bringing the total death toll to 337.

As many as 1,036 people have recovered from the virus, making the total number of recoveries 48,448 in the country.

There are now 7,637 active cases of COVID-19 across the UAE.
