The Abu Dhabi and Ajman Police have busted two gangs involved in telephone scams.
The first cell provided fraudsters with a percentage of any money they brought in, while the other paid its members a monthly income of AED 1,200 per person.
Both police departments have urged members of the public not to respond to calls or text messages with misleading claims to win money.
