Abu Dhabi outlets to use taxis to deliver goods

SUPPLIED/ITC

Home delivery taxis are now operating in Abu Dhabi, helping customers receive their orders from retail outlets that don’t traditionally have online platforms.

The UAE capital's Integrated Transport Centre has called on retailers to register for the new service.

Stores can track the delivery of their products via the Abu Dhabi Taxi App, and monitor when their customers receive the order.

All drivers will wear face masks and gloves throughout the delivery process and have been trained to provide contactless delivery services.

They've also been equipped with the necessary tools to properly sterilise their vehicles.
