Senior officials from the UK and the US have denounced the Houthis' repeated attacks against civilians within Yemen, and their continued attacks against Saudi Arabia and, more recently, the UAE.
It comes following a meeting with delegations from the UAE, Oman and Saudi Arabia in London.
The officials also expressed full support for the UAE and Saudi Arabia with their legitimate national security concerns and called for an immediate end to Houthi attacks.
They also acknowledged the legitimate right of the two countries to defend themselves against terrorist attacks as per International Law.
The meeting also discussed the dire humanitarian crisis in Yemen and agreed that maintaining direct support to the country is essential, including protecting the safety of humanitarian workers.
They also recognised the economic crisis in Yemen is exacerbating humanitarian suffering and stressed the importance of additional economic support from the international community to stabilise Yemen’s economy, coupled with essential reforms to improve financial transparency.
