RTA contributes AED5 million to 'Edge of Life' campaign

The Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai (RTA) announced a contribution of AED5 million in support of the 'Edge of Life' campaign to rescue five million children from hunger.

The campaign was launched in Ramadan by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, with the aim of raising a minimum of AED1 billion to be invested in implementing sustainable programmes that help fight childhood hunger around the world.

Operating under the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI), it builds upon previous Ramadan campaigns launched under His Highness Sheikh Mohammed's directives to a wide response from the UAE community.

The campaign is being organised in partnership with UNICEF, Save the Children, the Children's Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF), and Action Against Hunger.

Individuals, government entities, private organisations, businessmen and philanthropists can donate through the campaign’s website, SMS, bank transfers, a dedicated call centre, DubaiNow app, YallaGive.com or the Dubai Community Contributions platform Jood.ae.
