The UAE Ambassador to the UN has met with the UN Secretary General to discuss how to scale up humanitarian aid to Gaza.
Lana Nusseibeh and Antonio Guterres addressed the devastation on the ground, and explored how United Nations efforts to deliver assistance can be enhanced.
They also discussed the implementation and monitoring of UN Security Council resolution 2712, adopted last week, which calls for sustained, multi-day humanitarian pauses in Gaza.
The two met alongside representatives of Arab League and Organisation of Islamic Cooperation member states.
