Dubai’s e-hailing taxi service, Hala, has introduced a WhatsApp booking platform to make securing a ride more convenient than ever.

Residents and visitors can book their Hala taxis with just a simple text message.

The new service features an interactive WhatsApp chatbot designed to streamline the booking process. Passengers using WhatsApp will also enjoy  the same pricing as those booking through the Careem app.

"As one of the world’s most popular messaging platforms, WhatsApp allows us to reach a wider audience and engage with its large user base in the city," said Khaled Nuseibeh, CEO of Hala.

Here’s how the WhatsApp booking works:

  • Send a ‘Hi’ message to 800 HALATAXI (4252 8294) to start your booking.
  • The Hala chatbot will ask for your location to arrange the ride.
  • You’ll receive a booking confirmation with details of the driver and estimated arrival time.
  • Track your ride in real-time with a live tracking link that you can share with friends and family.
  • Pay at your destination with card or cash.

The WhatsApp service is available 24/7, ensuring you can get a ride any time of day or night.
