The UAE has made it mandatory for travellers returning from abroad to carry a negative COVID-19 PCR test result.

The latest directive, which comes into effect from Friday, July 24, is applicable for passengers departing from all airports.

During a media briefing on Wednesday, the official spokesperson of the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority (NCEMA) said the tests must be done at accredited laboratories, and their details can be found on the website: screening.purehealth.ae

Dr. Saif Al Dhahiri added that the test results should have a validity period not exceeding 72 hours upon the passenger’s arrival in the UAE.

He also stressed the need for airlines to ensure that those travelling on their flights are carrying a negative certificate.
