ADNOC Distribution has announced the launch of one of the world’s largest superfast electric vehicle charging hubs.

The launch coincides with Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, as global leaders gather in the UAE capital to discuss the future of sustainable energy and infrastructure.

The new EV Mega Hub is strategically located at Saih Shuaib on the E11 highway between Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

It features 60 high-speed charging points, capable of charging most electric vehicles from zero to 80 per cent in around 20 minutes.

The facility is the largest of its kind in the Middle East, Africa, and Turkey, and ranks sixth worldwide.

The hub forms part of ADNOC Distribution’s broader roadmap to develop nationwide EV charging infrastructure.

Under the plan, the company aims to open 20 EV charging hubs across the UAE by the end of 2027, with 15 expected to be operational by the end of 2026, supporting seamless long-distance electric vehicle travel across national highways.

The initiative aligns with the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure's long-term goal of having half of all vehicles on the roads be battery-electric by 2050.

ADNOC Distribution is supporting this target through its E2GO charging network, which already includes more than 400 charging points, with plans to reach up to 750 by 2028.

The EV Megahub launch also marks the opening of the first commuter-focused 'The Hub by ADNOC' location.

Designed to be larger than traditional service stations, the site combines fuel and EV charging with food and lifestyle offerings, creating a modern destination tailored to the needs of travellers.
