The UAE's Ministry of Education has announced that the academic year will officially end on July 2 for all public and private school students.

Meanwhile, the last day for academic staff will be on July 9.

Schools are scheduled to reopen in September after the summer break.

There's still no clarity if distance-learning programme will continue in the new academic year. On its website, Dubai’s Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) says “it’s still unknown what form it will take or whether that will change”.
