Dubai steps up community safety awareness with Emarat Al Aman

Dubai Media Office

Dubai has launched the seventh edition of Emarat Al Aman, an initiative aimed at promoting community awareness and strengthening a culture of safety and security across the emirate.

His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Ports and Borders Security Council, inaugurated the event at Zabeel Sports District, Dubai Mall.

Organised by the Security Industry Regulatory Agency (SIRA), the event runs until November 5, bringing together participants from across the community through interactive activities and challenges that encourage teamwork and social responsibility.

This year's edition features four categories: Community Guardians, Community Leaders, Community Spirit and Family.

For the first time, families are being included as a dedicated category, in line with the UAE's Year of the Family.

The new addition highlights the role of families in building a safe and cohesive society, while encouraging people of all generations to take shared responsibility for community safety.

Since its launch in 2018, Emarat Al Aman has brought together people of different nationalities and age groups through activities designed to promote cooperation, awareness and a stronger sense of belonging.

The initiative aims to reinforce the message that maintaining a safe and secure community is a shared responsibility, starting with individuals and families and extending across society.
