The Indian Consulate in Dubai has mobilised a team of medical volunteers for a COVID-19 isolation facility in the emirate.

It’s part of efforts to support the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and other entities who’re working to control the spread of the virus.

The diplomatic mission has also helped around 4,000 workers with food packages and essential supplies in the last four weeks, while another 60 people were provided accommodation.

During the same period, the consulate’s 24|7 helplines handled 6,500 enquiries.

Most of the queries were regarding repatriation flights, extension of UAE visas, and requests for food and medical assistance.
