H.H. Sheikh Mohammed pardons 1,249 prisoners

As many as 1,249 prisoners in Dubai have been pardoned ahead of the UAE's 52nd Union Day.

Their release was ordered by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

The humanitarian gesture is aimed at giving them an opportunity to start a new life and reintegrate into society.

Dubai Public Prosecution, in collaboration with Dubai Police, has commenced the legal procedures to implement Sheikh Mohammed’s order.
