H.H. Sheikh Hamdan outline plans to accelerate use of AI in government entities

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, has approved the launch of Dubai AI Acceleration Taskforce to improve AI integration into the workings of government entities.

In a post on social media X, Sheikh Hamdan, who also holds the position of Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, also unveiled the launch of the AI Infrastructure Empowerment Platform.

It aims to" make government entities a model of agility and efficiency in integrating AI, fostering collaboration and advancing a unified innovation strategy," Sheikh Hamdan explained.

A "Unicorn 30 Programme" to "support 30 emerging companies on their journey to become global billion-dollar enterprises from Dubai", was also launched.

The announcements were made during the second meeting of the Higher Committee for Future Technology Development and the Digital Economy for 2025.

"I reviewed progress on key initiatives and plans to accelerate digital transformation and strengthen Dubai’s position as a global leader in adopting future technologies and AI," Sheikh Hamdan added. 

The Committee also outlined plans for the 2026 editions of GITEX Global and Expand North Star at Expo City Dubai, adding that it's "set to be their best-ever".
