Four people killed in Al Ain car race crash

Investigations are underway into an accident in Al Ain that led to the death of four people.

According to Abu Dhabi Police, the crash, on Wednesday evening was caused by two modified cars that were racing on the streets.

One of the vehicles flipped over and hit a lamppost, killing its driver and passenger, while the other car ran over two pedestrians who were crossing the road.

Authorities are urging motorists to avoid speeding or carrying out dangerous alterations on their vehicles.
