Private educational institutions in Dubai will be closed on Monday, May 16.
The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) said schools, universities, early childhood centres and training institutes in the emirate will resume classes from Tuesday, May 17.
The announcement follows the demise of President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Friday.
Schools, universities, early childhood centres and training institutes will be closed on Monday, reopening on Tuesday next week.
