Dubai lifts more restrictions; parks and hotel beaches to reopen

WAM

Public parks in Dubai have been allowed to reopen as long as the gatherings don’t exceed five people.

Outdoor sporting and recreational activities like cycling, water sports and skydiving are also permitted for up to five people.

That’s according to Dubai's Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management which has updated its guidelines on easing movement restrictions related to COVID-19, in the emirate.

It has allowed hotels to reopen their private beaches to guests while enforcing physical distancing between individuals.

Meanwhile, consumers can now start using the fitting rooms in shopping malls and retail outlets, and also claim refunds and return the goods.

Tram, marine transport and ride-sharing services can also resume, according to timelines specified by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).

Officials have stressed the need to continue following all precautionary and preventive measures despite easing the restrictions.
