Dubai carriers extend flight suspension to Monday

Emirates Airline and flydubai have extended the temporary suspension of operations to and from Dubai until 3:00 pm on Monday, "due to the ongoing developments in the region".

In an update on its official website, Emirates said passengers booked to travel in the next 72 hours can rebook, up to 10 days from the original travel date, or request for a refund by contacting the airline or booking agents.

In a statement sent to ARN News, flydubai said it is "working diligently to implement comprehensive welfare for all affected customers".

The airline also offered passengers booked to travel within the next 72 hours the option to rebook on "an alternative flight to the same destination, or to a different destination within the same country, up to 10 days from the original travel date".

Both airlines are "actively monitoring" the situation and working with relevant authorities to adjust their flight schedules accordingly.

All travellers are urged to check for the latest updates on official sources, with the airlines reiterating that the safety of all passengers and crew remain its top priority.
