Drone interception causes minor injuries at Abu Dhabi's Etihad towers

WAM

Abu Dhabi authorities are dealing with the minor injuries of two people following the fall of debris from a drone after it was intercepted by UAE air defence systems onto the front of one of the buildings at Etihad Towers.

The authorities stated that interception caused minor material damage to the area, clarifying that the sounds heard across the emirate were due to the "successful interception operations".

They also urged the public not to spread rumours or misleading information, and to ensure obtaining information from official sources only, assuring that updates will be announced as soon as they become available.
